Australian Country — Art Print
A celebration of the Australian landscape and the wildlife that inhabits it, this artwork began as one of my original paintings and has been reimagined with a linocut-inspired printmaking look.
The original composition has been transformed through bold black-and-white contrasts, expressive mark-making and intricate cross-hatching, giving the piece the character and texture associated with traditional printmaking while retaining the spirit of my original painted artwork.
Kangaroos, a dingo, birds and other animals are woven amongst rolling hills, native plants and waterways, creating a whimsical Australian landscape filled with little details to discover.
With its combination of original painting and contemporary printmaking-inspired styling, this piece brings a fresh dimension to my original artwork while maintaining its distinctly Australian character.
