This painting was inspired (as nearly always) by starting with a drawing. I sketch from my memory or imagination or it has been influenced by my everday life. It was inspired by all the people out walking their furry companions in the cold weather! It was painted wholly in gouache paint on archival paper ready for framing.

The artist often takes inspiration from architecture, nature and landscapes that take the viewer on a journey and bring feelings of warmth and contentment.

This piece was  painted by the artist using professional watercolour grade paints on Arches cold pressed 300 gsm paper. The artist only uses light-fast supplies of the highest standard to ensure the piece retains its vibrancy and quality.
