This painting was influenced by some gorgeous old wooden barns and sheds we see around the farmlands around beautiful WA and Australia. They are always so charming and make the perfect focal point for me to paint. I love the old wood and iron and how they weather. They are so appealing and make great focal points of my paintings. Currently, I am focused on painting some gorgeous, moody landscapes and still lifes in my current work. I am strongly influenced by places and things that are peaceful, melancholy and evoke a feeling of home to me.
