This painting was inspired by my homeland New Zealand and country towns in Australia. I dream of peace and quiet and calm. This little town nestled along the river shines brightly under a clear blue sky and, for me, evokes warm memories of home.

Currently, I am focused on painting some gorgeous, moody landscapes and still lifes in my current work. I am strongly influenced by places and things that are peaceful, melancholy and evoke a feeling of home to me. Landscapes and still lifes are always so charming and make the perfect focal points of my paintings. I hope you enjoy this piece. This painting represents Rochelle's unique style.
