This painting was a contender and finalist in the Lethbridge Gallery 2025 Small Scale Art Awards.

Field Grasses offers a view of the landscape through tall, swaying grasses. Beyond them, a charming cottage sits nestled against the soft blue hills. The vibrant colour palette and glossy finish of the tempera paint highlight each carefully rendered brushstroke.

Currently, I am focused on painting some gorgeous, moody landscapes and still lifes in my current work. I am strongly influenced by places and things that are peaceful, melancholy and evoke a feeling of home to me. Landscapes and still lifes are always so charming and make the perfect focal points of my paintings. I hope you enjoy this piece. This painting represents Rochelle's unique style.

This piece was  painted by the artist using professional watercolour grade paints on Arches cold pressed 300 gsm watercolour paper. The artist only uses light-fast supplies of the highest standard to ensure the piece retains its vibrancy and quality.
